Trying Out My New Backdrops!

 

This photo shoot was a fun one!  Not only was the subject a cutie, but I got to use my new backdrops!  The red one took a lot longer than I anticipated.  Painting it was a PAIN!  The type of wallpaper I used was not a smooth paper but had texture to it so it made it hard getting the paint to cover all the paper smoothly.  It took me hours!  The other golden colored backdrop was just cloth.  I just hung that...much easier!  I will be making new backdrops in the future to add to my collection of choices and to have fresh new looks!  The only problem I will run into is finding a place to store them.  The joys of having no space...

Finishing Up With Seniors...Maybe

 

  

I enjoyed meeting and working with this senior.  It was a cold day, but despite his shivering, we got some great shots!  

The next set of pictures are from another senior from the same school.  I decided just to put them both together in this one blog.  This senior enjoys dressing up and took advantage of it in some of his senior photos!

Well, this may be the last of the seniors for now.  But who knows...every time I think I'm done I get another phone call.  That's just fine with me...keep 'em coming!

Creating a work of art, and what better place to do it than on clean windows! :-)

I had fun with this little guy!  He has the baby package with me and the first two shoots were in my studio, but to change it up a little, I decided to go to his house.  I wanted to capture him in his own comfortable setting.  His personality just really came out!  Not to mention his spectacular room that is decorated like it just came out of a magazine.  Great job, Mom and Dad!  These were just a few of the many great shots I got of this cutie.  It was hard to choose!

2010 Jr. Miss Contestants!

Well, it's that time of year again for the 2010 Jr. Miss Pageant!  These are upcoming seniors who are representing the schools of Landmark, East Coweta, Northgate, and Newnan High.  This is my fourth year as the photographer for this wonderful program.  These girls are competing for scholarship opportunities as well as just participating in a great experience for all of them!  I am one of three sisters, and we all participated in Jr. Miss at our local high school in Alabama.  My oldest sister and myself never placed when we participated.  We just paved the way for my younger sister to win when it came to be her time to participate.  I knew we were good for something.:-)  If you would like to come and support these girls, the pageant will be held on March 7th at 2pm at the Performing Arts Center in Newnan.
